About the role
We are hiring a Technical Writer to make our product and APIs easy to understand. You will own documentation that developers and users actually love.
You will help make Rutylis easier to understand through clear, useful, and inclusive content. The role blends editorial judgement, audience empathy, research, and collaboration with product and marketing teams so that every piece of content has a clear purpose.
In this Technical Writer role, you will have real ownership rather than a narrow task list. You will be expected to understand the problem, communicate trade-offs clearly, make good decisions with incomplete information, and follow through until the work is shipped, adopted, and improved.
This is a remote - global position designed for people who do excellent work without needing an office to do it. We value clear writing, reliable follow-through, inclusive collaboration, and the ability to work across time zones with context, trust, and respect.
What you'll do
- Own clear, accurate product and developer documentation
- Partner with engineering and product to keep docs trustworthy
- Plan and produce clear, useful, and engaging content
- Own the editorial standard for accuracy, voice, and inclusivity
- Partner with product, marketing, and engineering on the message
- Use data and feedback to improve what you publish
- Make complex things easy to understand for the right audience
What we're looking for
- A strong portfolio of published, professional writing or editing
- Excellent command of language, structure, and voice
- Ability to research deeply and explain clearly
- Care for accuracy, accessibility, and inclusive language
Nice to have
- Experience in technical or product content
- SEO and content-performance fluency
- Background in community or values-led brands
Compensation & benefits
$110,000 – $155,000/yr — premium-band, reviewed twice a year.
