About the role
As a Senior DevOps Engineer you will lead our infrastructure strategy, set standards, and mentor the team toward a reliable, secure, cost-efficient platform.
You will build the foundation that lets every product team move quickly without sacrificing reliability, security, or cost discipline. The work is a blend of platform thinking, operational excellence, and pragmatic automation that removes friction for engineers across the company.
In this Senior DevOps Engineer role, you will have real ownership rather than a narrow task list. You will be expected to understand the problem, communicate trade-offs clearly, make good decisions with incomplete information, and follow through until the work is shipped, adopted, and improved.
This is a remote - global position designed for people who do excellent work without needing an office to do it. We value clear writing, reliable follow-through, inclusive collaboration, and the ability to work across time zones with context, trust, and respect.
What you'll do
- Lead infrastructure strategy and set platform standards
- Drive reliability, security, and cost efficiency at scale
- Build and operate reliable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure
- Automate everything: CI/CD, provisioning, and self-service tooling for engineers
- Improve observability, reliability, and incident response across services
- Define and uphold infrastructure standards, security, and best practices
- Partner with product teams to make shipping fast and safe by default
What we're looking for
- Hands-on experience with a major cloud (AWS/GCP/Azure) and IaC (Terraform)
- Strong scripting and automation skills and a reliability mindset
- Experience with containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes)
- Calm, methodical approach to operations and incident response
Nice to have
- Experience scaling infrastructure for high-growth products
- Security or compliance background

Compensation & benefits
$180,000 – $245,000/yr — premium-band, reviewed twice a year.
