About the role

As a Platform Engineer you will build the internal platforms and tooling that make every other engineer faster. You think in terms of paved roads, reusable building blocks, and great developer experience.

You will work close to the product, design, data, and infrastructure teams so that technical choices are connected to real customer needs. The work mixes thoughtful architecture with practical execution: we care about code quality, but we care just as much about shipping dependable product improvements that people can actually use.

In this Platform Engineer role, you will have real ownership rather than a narrow task list. You will be expected to understand the problem, communicate trade-offs clearly, make good decisions with incomplete information, and follow through until the work is shipped, adopted, and improved.

This is a remote - global position designed for people who do excellent work without needing an office to do it. We value clear writing, reliable follow-through, inclusive collaboration, and the ability to work across time zones with context, trust, and respect.

What you'll do

  • Build internal platforms, libraries, and tooling that accelerate product teams
  • Treat developer experience as a product with real users and clear metrics
  • Design, build, and ship production features end to end, owning quality from first commit to release
  • Write clean, well-tested code and thoughtful reviews that raise the bar for the whole team
  • Partner with product and design to turn ambiguous problems into reliable, maintainable software
  • Improve performance, observability, and developer experience across the codebase
  • Participate in on-call and incident response, and help drive durable fixes

What we're looking for

  • Strong fundamentals in data structures, systems design, and one or more modern languages
  • A track record of shipping and maintaining software that real users depend on
  • Clear written communication and the judgement to make pragmatic trade-offs
  • Comfort working autonomously across time zones in a distributed team

Nice to have

  • Experience in a high-growth product environment
  • Open-source contributions or side projects you are proud of
  • Familiarity with cloud-native tooling (containers, CI/CD, IaC)
