About the role
We are hiring a Brand Designer to shape how Rutylis looks and feels everywhere people meet us. You will craft a distinctive, inclusive visual identity across channels.
You will shape experiences that need to feel clear, trustworthy, accessible, and human from the first interaction. The design team works closely with research, product, engineering, and brand, so this role is about strong craft and strong collaboration in equal measure.
In this Brand Designer role, you will have real ownership rather than a narrow task list. You will be expected to understand the problem, communicate trade-offs clearly, make good decisions with incomplete information, and follow through until the work is shipped, adopted, and improved.
This is a remote - global position designed for people who do excellent work without needing an office to do it. We value clear writing, reliable follow-through, inclusive collaboration, and the ability to work across time zones with context, trust, and respect.
What you'll do
- Develop and apply a distinctive, inclusive brand system across channels
- Design assets that make the Rutylis brand instantly recognizable
- Lead the design of flows and interfaces from concept through polished delivery
- Produce wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs that solve real user problems
- Contribute to and extend the design system for consistency and speed
- Partner with research to validate ideas and with engineering to ship them faithfully
- Advocate for accessibility and inclusive design in every decision
What we're looking for
- A portfolio showing strong craft, clear thinking, and shipped outcomes
- Fluency in modern design tooling and prototyping
- Ability to give and receive critique and iterate quickly
- Sensitivity to accessibility (WCAG) and inclusive, representative design
Nice to have
- Experience designing for community or marketplace products
- Motion or interaction design skills
- Front-end familiarity (HTML/CSS) to collaborate closely with engineers
Compensation & benefits
$115,000 – $160,000/yr — premium-band, reviewed twice a year.
